Terms & Conditions – Jinny’s Cakes
Effective Date: 8 September 2025

These Terms & Conditions apply to all users of the website www.jinnycakes.com and to all purchases made through our online store.

1. General
This website is operated by Jinny’s Cakes, trading as Jinny’s Cake Decorating Supplies. By using this site and placing an order, you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions.

2. Products & Availability
We do our best to keep all product information, prices, and availability accurate. However, products may become unavailable without notice. We reserve the right to limit the quantities of any products or services.

3. Pricing & Payment
All prices are shown in EUR/£ and include VAT where applicable. We reserve the right to change prices at any time. Payments are processed securely through Shopify Payments or PayPal.

4. Order Confirmation
Once you place an order, you will receive an email confirmation. This does not guarantee acceptance of your order. We reserve the right to cancel or refund orders at our discretion.

5. Shipping & Delivery

6. Returns
Please refer to our Returns Policy for full information on how to return items and request a refund.

7. Intellectual Property
All images, designs, and content on our website are the property of Jinny’s Cakes and may not be copied, reproduced, or used without permission.

We are not liable for any indirect or consequential loss or damage arising from the use of our products or website.

9. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of Ireland.

10. Edible Printer – Warranty & Use (Canon TS705A)

Product Description & Intended Use

The Canon TS705A supplied by Jinny’s Cakes is a consumer inkjet printer adapted for edible printing using food-grade edible inks and edible printing media such as icing sheets and wafer paper.

The original printer manufacturer does not design or approve this printer for food or edible printing. Edible use is therefore outside the manufacturer’s intended purpose.

Manufacturer Warranty

Use of edible inks voids the original manufacturer’s warranty, including any print-head coverage.

Once edible inks are installed or used, the manufacturer’s warranty no longer applies. Any warranty support is provided solely by Jinny’s Cakes under the terms set out below.

Jinny’s Cakes Limited Warranty

Jinny’s Cakes provides a 3-month limited warranty, starting from the date of delivery.

What the Warranty Covers

This limited warranty covers:

  • Faults present on delivery

  • Mechanical or electrical faults directly related to edible printing, where the printer has:

    • Been used in accordance with supplied instructions

    • Been maintained correctly

    • Been used exclusively with edible inks supplied by Jinny’s Cakes

What the Warranty Does Not Cover

This warranty does not cover:

  • Print-head damage caused by infrequent use or allowing ink to dry out

  • Blockages, colour issues, or failures caused by third-party edible inks or mixing ink brands

  • Damage caused by incorrect cleaning, misuse, neglect, or user error

  • Physical damage, liquid ingress, power surges, or environmental damage

  • Normal wear and tear

Ink & Consumables

Only edible inks supplied by Jinny’s Cakes are covered under this warranty.

Use of any third-party edible inks immediately voids the Jinny’s Cakes warranty.

Edible inks are perishable consumables and require regular use to maintain printer performance.

Usage & Maintenance Requirements

To maintain warranty coverage, the printer must:

  • Be powered on and used regularly

  • Perform a test print at least once every 7–10 days

  • Be stored in a clean, dry indoor environment

  • Not be allowed to run dry of ink

Failure to meet these requirements may result in warranty claims being declined.

Dead on Arrival (DOA)

Any faults present on arrival must be reported to Jinny’s Cakes within 14 days of delivery.

After this period, faults will be assessed under the limited warranty terms.

Warranty Claims (Return to Base)

All warranty claims are return-to-base.

Customers are responsible for:

  • Secure packaging for return

  • Return postage costs

If a fault is confirmed as covered under warranty, Jinny’s Cakes will, at its discretion, repair the printer, replace the printer, or issue a refund or partial refund.

Food Safety Responsibility

Edible inks supplied by Jinny’s Cakes are food-grade and compliant with applicable regulations.

It is the customer’s responsibility to follow appropriate food hygiene practices and ensure edible prints are used in accordance with local food-safety regulations.

Limitation of Liability

Jinny’s Cakes shall not be liable for loss of business, loss of profit, or any indirect or consequential loss arising from the use or failure of the printer.

Acceptance of Terms

Purchase and use of this printer confirms acceptance of these terms and conditions.
