Jinny’s Wafer Paper is our Standard 0.35mm grade, made from potato starch with a lightly textured surface that works beautifully with edible ink.

It’s ideal for printed cake toppers, edible images, wafer paper flowers, leaves, sails and other edible cake decorations.

Using your wafer paper

Feed one sheet at a time through your edible printer.

Wafer paper performs best on dry surfaces such as fondant or marzipan.

Because wafer paper naturally absorbs moisture, very wet surfaces such as fresh cream or soft buttercream can cause it to soften, curl or distort. If using it on a moist cake surface, we recommend applying it closer to presentation or using a suitable barrier between the cake and the wafer paper.

Wafer paper is naturally slightly translucent, so darker cake colours may show through lighter printed designs.

Storage

Store in the original packaging in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight.

Keep the pack sealed when not in use to protect the wafer paper from humidity and maintain its texture.
